Accessibility Statement

DRAFT — NOT PUBLISHED. This is the one policy where a false claim is easy to make and easy to disprove. Do not publish a conformance claim until the rebuilt site has actually been tested. An untested "WCAG 2.1 AA compliant" line is a claim anyone can check in thirty seconds.

Last updated: [CONFIRM — date of publication]

Our commitment

Project X wants projectxagency.ca to be usable by as many people as possible, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology.

What we have done

[CONFIRM — this section must describe the rebuilt site as actually built and tested. What follows is what the rebuild was designed to do; it becomes a claim only once verified.]

The rebuilt site was designed with:

Where we stand

[CONFIRM — pick one and delete the others. Do not publish more than one.]

Option A — before any testing (accurate today):

We have not yet completed a formal accessibility audit of this site. We have built it against WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a design target, but we have not verified conformance and we do not currently claim it.

Option B — after partial testing:

We have tested this site against WCAG 2.1 Level AA and it is partially conformant: most of the site meets the standard, and some content does not yet. Known issues are listed below.

Option C — after a full audit:

This site conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, verified by [CONFIRM: who tested it, and when].

Recommendation: publish Option A at launch. It is honest, it is defensible, and it costs you nothing. Move to B or C when a real test has been run.

Known limitations

[CONFIRM — list real findings after testing. If nothing has been tested, say so rather than leaving this section empty and implying there are no issues.]

Some content hosted or generated by third-party platforms — including the Wix platform itself and any embedded content — is not fully under our control, and we cannot guarantee its accessibility.

Tell us about a problem

If you have trouble using any part of this website, please tell us. We will do what we can to help you get the information you need and to fix the underlying problem.

Email: [CONFIRM: contact email] Phone: 604-404-6166

Please tell us the page and what went wrong. We aim to respond within [CONFIRM: a response time you will actually meet — do not commit to 2 business days unless you will hit it].

Standards and law

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our reference standard.

[CONFIRM — British Columbia's Accessible British Columbia Act imposes accessibility-plan requirements on prescribed organisations. Whether a small private business is currently in scope depends on the regulations in force. Confirm your obligations rather than assuming you are exempt or assuming you are covered.]
